John Wyek- 3rd Degree Black Belt

John started his TaeKwonDo training while in college, and successfully tested for his black belt in 1988.  He managed a martial arts school in San Diego, where students ranged in age from 4 to 68.

Some of these students had physical limitations that prevented them from performing the standard techniques.  John got great satisfaction working with the students to help them overcome their limitations and be successful in their training.  Sometimes this entailed adapting techniques specifically for them.  This allowed the students to continue their training and rank advancement using movements that were effective for them.

John and his wife have lived in Novato since 1992 and their two daughters attend school here.
